UK Requirements for overseas nurses:
English Language Skills
Evidence of English language ability is a requirement to relocate to the UK.
There are two types of English Language tests available:
International English Language Test System (IELTS)
IELTS tests academic English, including the ability to write essays, follow lectures, understand academic articles etc.

Occupational English Test (OET)
OET tests healthcare English, including the ability to communicate effectively in medical scenarios, write a referral letter, understand a patient consultation.

NMC Application
There are two parts to the NMC process. Only those who meet their requirements are allowed to practise as a nurse in the UK.
Part one: Computer Based Test - CBT
Part two: Objective Structured Clinical Examination - OSCE
